Here are a few of the many events this season for you can keep in mind while planning a Kennebunkport, Maine vacation! The Franciscan Guest House and Monastery are conveniently located near many of the Maine coast attractions and activities to make your getaway complete.

9th Annual Picnic & Raffle Drawing at the Franciscan Monastery from
11:30am to 1:30pm*
The picnic starts at 11:30 am. Bring your own lunch or buy fresh sandwiches made by the Franciscan Guest House, and have a picnic on the lawn or on the picnic tables while listening to live music outdoors.
Raffle drawing is at 1 pm. Purchase a ticket for $50 to get a chance to win $5000 or $1000 or many other prizes.
You can get tickets through St. Anthony's Monastery (207-967-2011) weekdays from 9 am to 4 pm. Also, tickets are available for purchase after Sunday mass. Or download the form and mail in a check. Instructions are on the form. Only 600 tickets will be sold. You do not have to be present at the drawing to win.

Christmas Prelude in the Kennebunks**
5:30 pm - Tree Lighting & Christmas Stroll at Lower Village. Join villagers at the corner of Christensen Lane and Route 35 for the lighting of the Lower Village Tree with carols by the Kennebunk High School Chamber Choir, directed by Nathan Menifield. Following the lighting, enjoy the traditional stroll to the Franciscan Monastery.
6:30 pm - Candlelight Caroling hosted by the Franciscan Monastery, Beach Avenue, Lower Village. Enjoy chestnuts roasted on an open fire at the gate of the Monastery.
